Fund Raising Events and Activities
The following are some of the activities the club uses to raise funds. Money collected through fund raising events is allocated across the various organizations, groups, and charitable efforts that the club supports. The club's operational budget comes from dues collected from the individual members.
- Overland Park Fall Festival - We run a concession stand at this annual arts and crafts fair held in September at Thompson Park.
- Metcalf Avenue of Flags - Merchants and home owners financially support the placement of flags on their property along Metcalf Avenue. If you enjoy seeing the American Flag display, 6 times per year, along Metcalf Avenue and Downtown Overland Park or would like to help the program raise funds for the sight impaired please contact our Treasurer.
- Terri Lynn Nut Sales - We sell Terri Lynn gourmet nuts, dried fruits, fruit mixes, chocolates and sweets via a fundraising website, direct sales and retail sales at local merchants. A portion of every Terri Lynn product sold on our fundraising website benefits Overland Park Host Lions Club's service projects.
